Carol McKinney approaches the creation of jewelry as she would design a
room. "I start with a plan, choose a color palette, create a focal
point, and design a piece that reflects the style and attitude of the
person."
Carol's jewelry has caught the attention of celebrities with an eye for design and originality - HGTV show hosts and Lisa Bloom from Court TV among them, as well as a dozen or so network news anchors across the country.
A young mother on the high plains of Texas, Carol draws her inspiration from endless sunsets, natural stones, and a heritage of strong Texas individuality. As she works in her studio, the view ranges from gemstones from exotic places around the world to the reality of a jungle gym in her backyard. "I needed a creative outlet, and something I could do at home. So I design jewelry during naptimes and Mother's Day Out."
